“The DELTA 50-720 works great and is very quiet compared to the less expensive Delta models. The filtering is also a great improvement over the less expensive model, no more fine dust floating around. The housing was easy to bend out of the way so no big deal. I built my own saw that draws the wood into the saw, then clamps the wood, it cuts two compound miter cuts on the part, unclamps the wood part and the finished part is sucked out by the Delta vacuum into a sorting bin. Then the process repeats 7 more times to produce all the parts for one product. I use the vacuum to keep the saw dust out of the saw and it is strong enough to move the parts under vacuum to a sorting bin out of the way.” – David D.

“The DELTA 50-720 is a good choice. It is more than suitable for dust collection on a single machine. I’ve used it on my table saw, jointer, planer, and router table with excellent results. The 1 micron bag is the best feature, my shop has never been so clean. It runs fine on the same 15 amp circuit that my shop lights are on. I don’t know that I would recommend using this in a system with lots of ducting and blast gates, it’s really not designed for that. If that’s what you want, step up to at least a 1200 cfm unit. ” – S. Dixon
